It has further consolidated its position as the number one digital service provider in Odisha. Reliance Jio onboarded approximately 86 percent of the new mobile subscribers added in the state during August 2026. According to the latest telecom subscriber data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added the highest number of new subscribers in the state in August 2026—specifically, 1.60 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 14,800 new home broadband subscribers. More than 80 percent of the new Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) home broadband subscribers added in Odisha during August joined the Jio network, making it the state’s most preferred digital service provider.
With this, Jio has further strengthened its dominant position in Odisha as the number one service provider across the wireless, wireline, and FWA segments. According to the data, the total mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 1.84 lakh in August. Jio has further strengthened its leadership position in the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) segment in the state, boasting over 4.36 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers and an 82% market share in FWA services. By adding more than 14,800 home broadband subscribers in August, the total number of JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha surpassed 8.21 lakh as of August 31, 2024.
As Odisha’s number one digital service provider, Jio now serves a vast subscriber base comprising over 1.86 crore mobile subscribers, 3.84 lakh JioFiber subscribers, and more than 4.36 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers. By accelerating digital inclusion across Odisha’s rural areas and thousands of towns and cities, Jio has made high-speed broadband connectivity available right at people’s doorsteps.
According to TRAI data, in August 2026, Jio added over 2.4 million new mobile subscribers and more than 566,000 new home broadband subscribers at the national level. Jio also leads the 5G Fixed Wireless Access segment with over 9.4 million subscribers and maintains a strong position as the only company in the country providing Fixed-Wireless services.
