The Pattamundai 04/06 Guru Puja and Friendship Day Celebration was held by the 2001 Matriculation Batch at SK High School under Pattamundai Block. In the coordination of Teacher Sanatan Tarai, Teachers Ashok Das, Premananda Das, Rabindra Patra, Dilip Khandai, Dilip Parida, Dayanidhi Das, Satyananda Biswal, Daitari Das, Maguni Charan Barik, Santosh Mallik, and Principal Assistant Teacher joined and called for the overall development of this prestigious educational institution in the entire Dhoyanchal. Two teachers, Chittaranjan Rout and Basant Kumar Dash, and four friends who passed away were offered a 2-minute silent prayer. The prominent teachers joined the program and advised all the old students to come forward for the development of the glorious institution.
During the Guru Puja, the students washed the feet of the teachers and applied vermilion and sandalwood and honored them with gifts. Everyone was emotional after 25 years when they met their childhood friends. The color of the school has changed, but the memories of the past still seem like yesterday. Along with reminiscing about the memories, all the students took an oath for the development of this great institution that gave social identity and prestige. The current principal of the school, Santosh Kumar Mallick, and other teachers were present. More than 50 friends participated in this program. Sunil Kant Patra, Ashwani Sahu, Suryakant Parida, Sukumar Tarai, Tushar Kant Dhal, Chandan Rout, Anurudh Rout, Arodeep Raut, Kisan Pandav, Jitendra Das, Manmeth Das, Sagarika Das, Nivedita Das, Sharmistha Dhal, Maheshwata Das, Sharmistha Behera, and Ayutsha Das contributed significantly.
