Puri Collector & SP Skip Astaranga Public Hearing; Complaints Drop

Today, the District Magistrate’s joint meeting was held at the Ashtaranga Block Conference Hall. The persons who came to lodge the complaint registered their names outside and lodged the complaint. Only 36 complaints were received, after which they were examined and the complaint was called individually and handed over to the departmental officers for hearing and, if necessary, resolution. Additional District Magistrate Administration Sarat Chandra Behra heard the complaint.

The complaints included allowance, drinking water problem, education, health, development work, delay in the process of forcible transfer of land, civil service, mission power, community women and child development, irrigation department, disaster electricity service, transport department and other issues. The complainants were called individually and discussed with the departmental officers present in the complaint room. In addition, some complaints have been handed over to the chief officers of the concerned departments for speedy resolution.

This genocide program was attended by Astaranga Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Aarti Nayak, Astaranga Video Sasmita Behera, Nimapada SDPO Janardan Padhi, Astaranga Tehsildar Priyanka Priyadarshini Pati, district and block level department officials. The worst thing is that the complaint hearing was held from 7 am to 10 am, while this time the number of complaints has decreased. Many people have expressed their reluctance to complain due to the early morning office, strong noise, repeated complaints not being resolved, and the absence of the District Magistrate and SP in the genocide. Whether the complaint is resolved or not, the people hope to meet the District Magistrate and express their grief and get some kind of solace. But seeing the absence of the District Magistrate, some complainants have turned their backs and some say that the genocide program has turned into a tragedy.
