Devotional Fervor Grips Sinapali as Lord Jagannath’s Bahuda Yatra Concludes Peacefully

The Bahuda Yatra of the holy Shrijiu in Sinapali, Nuapada district, was completed today in a grand manner amidst devotion, faith and spiritual atmosphere. Thousands of devotees had gathered at the Mausi Maa Temple complex located at Nehru Mandap since morning to have darshan of the Chaturdha Murti.
The puja began as per the prescribed rituals from the morning, while the pahandi procession of Shrijiu was completed in the afternoon. Later, after the traditional procession of three chariots was completed by Vijay Meher, the rathtana began.

The entire Sinapali was filled with devotional atmosphere with the sound of chanting, the sound of bells and the hustle and bustle of female devotees. Like the Rath Yatra, in the Bahuda Yatra too, women kept the traditional ritual of pulling the Devadalan chariot of Maa Subhadra intact. For nine days, all the rituals of Shrijiu were meticulously performed by the president of the Mausi Maa Temple Committee, Shashibhushan Majhi, vice-president Vidyadhar Meher, editor Manoj Kumar Jain, associate editor Rajni Majhi and all the members of the committee. Vidyadhar Meher and Saraswati Meher performed the duties of the Adap Mandap Karta, while Pramod Joshi served as the worshipper.

According to Tulsiram Meher, editor of the Jagannath Temple Management Committee, tomorrow the Adharpana Neeti, Suna Besha and then the Niladri Bije of Ratharudha Shrijiu will be held. Along with this, Bahuda Yatra has also been successfully completed in various villages including Chalana, Sagunbhadi, Hatibandha, Kendumunda, Nuamalpada, Khalna, Brahmanpada, Patialpada, Gorla, Timanpur, Jamgaon, Arasapada, Gandavahali, Bargaon, Gambhariguda, Singjhar, Ranimunda, and others in Sinapali block.
