Fortune India has released a new list of the country’s top 100 billionaires. The combined wealth of the nation’s two richest individuals has declined by ₹1.41 lakh crore over the past year. Despite this, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani have retained the first and second positions, respectively. Among the top 100 richest individuals, the total wealth of 31 billionaires has dropped by ₹4.26 lakh crore. Mukesh Ambani saw the largest decline, with his wealth falling by ₹82,000 crore, while Gautam Adani’s wealth decreased by ₹59,000 crore.
On the other hand, the total wealth of 56 billionaires has increased by ₹7.70 lakh crore. While the wealth of 31 individuals declined, 13 new names have been added to the list of the top 100 richest people. Savitri Jindal recorded the highest increase in wealth, with a rise of ₹1 lakh crore. Apart from this, the wealth of Shyam Bharati and Hari Bharati has seen the highest percentage increase, rising by 78%. Nandlal Rungta and Mukund Rungta of the mining company Rungta Mines have made their debut on the list, securing the 61st position.
