To study various successful models and best practices being implemented in the cooperative sector in Nuapada district, 41 editors of model primary agricultural cooperative societies selected by the Cooperative Department, Odisha Government, from Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, and Kendrapara districts have reached Nuapada on a two-day study tour.
On this occasion, the study team met District Collector Madhusudan Dash at the Collector’s conference room. District Collector Mr. Dash said that the role of editors is very important in the development of the cooperative sector and urged them to work with dedication and hard work in their respective areas to empower farmers and cooperative institutions.
On this occasion, the District Collector informed about the national honors and awards received from His Excellency the President Smt. Draupadi Murmu for the best election management. Similarly, he gave a detailed account of various innovative initiatives being implemented in Nuapada district, such as the anti-single-use plastic campaign, wage bank, cleanliness, and various programs related to environmental protection.
During the study tour, the delegation will observe the functioning of successful cooperative societies in Nuapada district, farmer services, rice harvesting management, and various developmental programs.
