Abu Dhabi, June 14: The holy Raja Parva festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the women of the Odia community in Abu Dhabi. On this occasion, the women dressed in traditional attire and observed various customs of Raja. Traditional Raja Geet, Doli game, Pintapana and cultural programs made the festival more attractive.
The women present expressed their views on the need for such an event to keep Odia culture and tradition alive in the diaspora. The message of friendship and brotherhood was spread among the Odia families in the diaspora through the Raja Parva. More than 80 Odia women from Abu Dhabi attended the event and remembered the importance and glory of Raja Parva.
The event was organized under the leadership of Sipra Das, Asmita Patel, Archana Nayak, Suvra Samal, Nitasha Behera and was conducted in a smooth manner. Finally, everyone came together to exchange greetings on the occasion of Raj Parva and exchanged Raj Pod Pinta, Raj Pan and gifts. All the activists of the Odia community were thanked.
