Exposed In First Rain! Mega Cracks On Brand New Rural Development Dept Road

The Rural Development Department road connecting Bijepur and Ghughurpala villages of Bijepur panchayat of Titilagarh block has cracked in the first rain. This road was built at a cost of about Rs 4 crore. Cracks appeared in various places on the road during the first rain and the road has become submerged, causing dissatisfaction among the locals.

According to the villagers, despite repeated complaints about the use of low-quality materials and faulty work during the construction of the road, no action was taken by the concerned department. It has also been alleged that the concerned junior engineer did not supervise the work regularly. A guard wall was built near the bridge built on the road and it has also become submerged. In response to the incident, the junior engineer of the department said that the road has become submerged due to the rain. It will be repaired.
