Stolen Paddy Truck from Sambalpur Seized in Godbhaga; Accused Flee!

As the Rabi dhan buying and selling period passes in the state, the farmers’ problems are increasing. Sometimes it is token and sometimes it is cutting and splitting, which has doubled the suffering of the farmers. Despite that, when the mandi dhan reaches the mill head, the farmers have to face harassment there too. Such an incident came to light on Wednesday after a truck carrying stolen dhan was seized. On Wednesday, through the Sambalpur district Temara Society, 224 quintals of dhan in 563 packets of farmer Shubham Sahu of Maneswar block Gambharkata village, reached Jagdamba Rice Industry.

The truck number OD15 S 1887 in which the dhan arrived has been standing in front of Jagdamba Rice Industry since that day. Despite repeated complaints from the farmers, the dhan was unloaded from the truck. The farmer has complained that the truck parked in front of Jagdamba Rice Industry was stolen on the night of Tuesday, June 9. The truck that was stolen and fled met with an accident near Kumbelsingha on State Highway No. 54, Jachbhaga-Sonepur, under Atabira police station and Jachbhaga Fundi. The thief fled from the scene of the incident. After receiving the information, Jachbhaga Fundi officer Ganesh Barik seized the truck and searched it. A case has been registered at Atabira police station in this regard and a search is underway for the unknown thief.
