An organizational meeting of the Biju Janata Dal Turkela Block No. 10 District Council Zone level was held on Tuesday at the Turkela Shiva Temple Mantok under the Kantabanji Election Constituency of Balangir District.
Active Biju Janata Dal workers including BLA and social members were present in this meeting. Giriraj Singh Majhi, the youth leader of the Biju Yuva Janata Dal of Kantabanji Election Constituency, joined the meeting and gave advice to the party leaders and workers.
Shri Majhi said that the names of about 20 thousand voters have been removed from the SIR list. He instructed the workers to monitor whether they are correct or not. And since the Panchayat elections are in a few months, we will have to work at the grassroots level to ensure that the Biju Janata Dal-supported candidates win by a huge margin. He expressed hope that the post of Turkela Block Chairperson will be taken over by Biju Janata Dal in the coming days.
He also said that the double engine government in the state has completely failed. Party workers will go from village to village to create awareness among the people about this.
