Chikiti – A program called “Bikashara Dhara Odisha Sara” was organized in Chikiti Block to convey the success of the state government’s two-year-old welfare schemes and the benefits of the welfare schemes to the common people. On this occasion, hundreds of beneficiaries were distributed relief materials and work instructions of various schemes.
A block-level program called “Vikashar Dara Odisha Sara” was organized in Chikiti Block Office premises on Monday. Organized under the chairmanship of Chikiti Group Development Officer Vivekananda Mishra, the program was attended by Berhampur MP Dr. Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi as the chief guest and Chikiti MLA as the entertaining guest.
The guests spoke about various welfare schemes of the state government, rural development and the changes coming in the lives of the common people. They said that due to the developmental initiatives of the government, the economic and social sectors are improving in the villages.
On this occasion, 389 eligible beneficiaries were given allowances, 10 were given work orders under Antayoday Griha Yojana, 20 were given work orders under Kamdhenu Yojana, 39 were given ration cards under Gram Nakru Patta, 39 were given ration cards under Annapurna Yojana and 200 mobile phones were distributed to Anganwadi workers.
Chikiti Tehsildar Biswaranjan Kahur, AVDO Chakradhar Pradhan, CDPO V. Manimala, BEO Panag Bhushan Majhi, Veterinary Department officers, officers of various departments, public representatives, self-help group members, Anganwadi workers and many beneficiaries were present on the program. Teacher Ashok Brahma moderated the stage.
