A two-day orientation and review meeting was held for the Physical Education Officers of the state. The program was inaugurated by the Director of Secondary Education, Shri Virendra Karkara and oriented all the officers. Joint Director, Mrs. Phulmani Murmu was also present as one of the chief guests.
Trainers of six sports namely Yoga, Taekwondo, Softball, Wushu, Cycling and Skating participated in the orientation program and trained the Physical Education Officers. International Wushu Trainer Shri Pradyumna Behera, Secretary of Cycling Association Shri Prasanna Raut, Co-Coordinator of Skating Association Pradyumna Kishore Prahraj and Coach Nimish Sharma were prominently present.
Physical Education Officers from 30 districts of Odisha participated in the Digdarshan program held on May 21-22. After receiving training from this program, Director Shri Karkara directed them to propagate it in their respective districts. The program was managed by Assistant Director of Physical Education Shri Jyoti Prasad Parida.
