‘Sayyara’ star Aneet Padda will be seen in the web series ‘Hunkar’. Its trailer was released in Mumbai on Thursday. Aneet’s speech on the occasion captured everyone’s attention. Amidst the commotion at the event, she delivered a powerful address regarding the series and her own story within it; the atmosphere fell completely silent the moment she began speaking. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub also feature in the series alongside Aneet.
The series tells the story of 17-year-old Meenu Rawat, who has accused an influential religious leader, Bapji, of sexual exploitation. It depicts the challenges Meenu faces after leveling allegations against such a powerful figure. ‘Hunkar’ is set to release on Jio Hotstar on the 25th of this month. Accompanying the trailer, JioHotstar poses the question: “When a girl’s voice clashes with societal devotion, who will emerge victorious?” The series is directed by Karan D. Kapadia, Nitya Mehra, and Hiraz Marfatia. Anit’s fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing this powerful performance.
