Admissions for the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP)—which includes the B.Ed. course—have commenced in the state for the current academic session (2026-27). While the first phase of admissions has concluded, a second phase will be conducted to fill the remaining seats. The Higher Education Department has issued a notification regarding this. Online applications for admission will be accepted via the SAMS website starting today (Thursday) and continuing until the 20th. The merit list for admission is scheduled to be published on the 24th.

According to the Higher Education Department’s notification, students selected for admission are required to complete their enrollment between the 25th and the 28th. Subsequently, a direct ‘spot admission’ process will be conducted. A waitlist will be published on the 24th for this purpose. Interested students on this waitlist must submit fresh applications to their preferred colleges between the 29th and the 30th. Higher education institutions will publish their merit lists for admission on their notice boards or websites on October 1st. Selected students will complete their admission process between October 3rd and 5th. If seats remain vacant thereafter, the admission process for students on the waitlist will be completed between the 6th and 7th, and the data will be updated on the SAMS website.

According to available information, a total of 192 seats remain vacant for the ITEP course across various educational institutions in the state. All information regarding this has been provided on the SAMS website.
