The holy Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was celebrated with great pomp and show in the joint organization of the Odia community residing in Abu Dhabi and ISKCON. More than 2500 devotees participated in this holy festival at the BPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi and got the opportunity to pull the chariot.
The entire atmosphere became spiritual through the recitation of bhajans, chants, pujas and prasad. The atmosphere was further enthralled by the various cultural programs of the women of the Odia community in Abu Dhabi. Everyone expressed their opinion that this Rath Yatra is a unique effort to keep Odia culture, tradition and spiritual heritage alive in a foreign land. Dr. Shiv Kota Kartik Singh, Ravi Das, Ranjit Das, Sattavrat Patra, Keshav Rao, Saugat Nayak, Arun Kumar Mallick, Sipra Das, Asmita Patel, Archana Nayak, Monalisa Mallick, Dr. Gayatri and many other Odia brothers and sisters from the Odia community cooperated.
