Villagers Halt Road Construction Work at Dhabalagiri, Demand Probe Against Contractor

Jajpur Road (Rakesh) There has been intense dissatisfaction in the local area regarding the repair work of the asphalt road from Dhabalgiri to Ferrochrome. Despite the road being repaired at a cost of lakhs of rupees, questions have been raised about the quality of the work. According to the complaints of the locals, the responsibility has been fulfilled by only pouring chips and metal on the bad parts of the asphalt road. Since asphalting or long-term repair work has not been done as per the prescribed standards, the condition of the road has returned to its previous state as soon as it rains. Waterlogging is creating problems in many places, causing traffic problems.

It is clear from the photos that the repair work done on the road could not withstand the rain water. This has raised questions about whether the government funds have been properly used. The residents of the area have demanded an investigation into the work and necessary action against the responsible contractor and the concerned department. Locals have expressed their fear that the road may become even more dangerous in the coming days if high-quality repair work is not done before the rainy season.
