Hasta Bishi from Jagua village under Titilagarh block in Balangir district is going back to her village after being rescued from Dubai. The three daughters and the villagers of Jagua village are very happy to see Hasta Bishi returning to her village after a time of 7 years.
People say that Hasta Bishis husband, Premanand Mahanand took her to Mumbai 7 years ago saying he would get her a job but instead he sold her to a Sheikh family in Dubai. Hasta Bishi had to work as a servant in Dubai. During this time her husband married another woman.
Hasta Bishis old parents and three young daughters asked the government for help times. When the news of Hasta Bishi was published in the newspapers, Mrs. Ranju Rayman, the head of the Mother Teresa Seva Sangathan decided to help her. Mrs. Rayman went to the Sub-Collector of Titilagarh. Filed a case in the Odisha High Court in February.
The judges of the Odisha High Court, Chief Justice Harish Tandon and Justice M.S. Raman took the case seriously. Asked the government to do something.
After Hasta Bishi was rescued she was taken to the Odisha High Court. The court case was handled by Advocate Ashish Mishra, who was representing Hasta Bishi. He told the court that Hasta Bishis three daughters and her old parents were suffering a lot.
Now that Hasta Bishi is coming back her daughters, old parents and the people of Jagua village are waiting for her eagerly.
Advocate Ashish Mishra, who helped Hasta Bishi is the son of Professor Panchanan Mishra from Hadhada village. When asked about the case Advocate Mishra said he is very happy and thinks it is a success for him. He said, “This is an achievement, for me.”
