A Special Intensive Correction (SIR) Awareness Walk was held from the office premises of the Berhampur Sub-District Collector on Saturday morning. Starting from the office of the Sub-District Collector, the walk passed through Kamapally Chack and the residence of the Sub-District Collector and ended at the office of the Sub-District Collector.
The walk, led by the sub-district collector Shri Avinash Kumar, was attended by all the Tehsildars of the Berhampur sub-district, additional sub-district collector Mrs. Rina Kumari Nayak, deputy collector Shri Subrata Ram Viram Satpathy, and election deputy collector Shri Alekh Ranjan Mahakund. In addition, all the officers and employees of the Deputy Collector’s Office, all BLOs, students, and teachers of various educational institutions also joined the walk and made the public aware about the SIR. All those who joined the walk held awareness placards in their hands and informed them about the accuracy of the voter list and the need for SIR.
From today, 30 May 2026, to 28 June 2026, booth-level officers will go door-to-door to distribute and collect the counting forms. The district administration is requesting all the voters to cooperate with the BLOs and keep the necessary certificates ready.
