Ahead of the Panchayat elections, there is a lot of talk in Kantabanji politics. The grand merger festival organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party has become a topic of much discussion in the political arena.
Three block chairmen, more than 50 sarpanches and many committee members have joined the BJP in this event led by MLA Laxman Bagh. Turkela Block Chairwoman Pooja Behera, Muribahal Block Chairwoman Haribandhu Meher, Bangomunda Block Chairwoman Ranjubala Behera A large number of committee members and sarpanches have also joined the party.
BJP State President Manmohan Samal, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, former MP Parsuram Majhi, State Vice President Shivaji Mohanty and District President Sribesi Behera were prominently present at this merger festival. Although the date for the Panchayat elections has not been announced in the state, such a grand melee is being seen as a sign of the BJP’s organizational preparedness and strong organization for the upcoming Panchayat elections.
