Bhubaneswar, June 24, 2026: To discuss and review the success of the Kendu Pari activities in the state, the latest initiatives taken at the field level and the future action plan, ‘Kendupari Chintan Shivir-2026’ was organized today at the 6th floor conference room of Aranya Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The camp was held under the chairmanship of Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department. Addressing the officials present, Shri Sharma said that in the coming days, new employment opportunities will be created in the state by inviting various projects. Extensive training and skill development programs will be taken up to make the Kendu Pari activities more strong and effective.
On this occasion, a video based on the success of the Kendu Pari activities in Odisha and its socio-economic impact was screened. It presented the significant contribution made by the Kendu Pari activities in livelihood generation, rural development and welfare of the beneficiaries.
In the session on sharing experiences on Naveen’s initiatives in Kendupari management, Assistant Conservator of Forests of Balangir (KL) Division and Forest Officers of Boudh (KL), Bhawanipatna (KL) and Rourkela (KL) Divisions presented on the successful interventions, best practices and Naveen’s initiatives taken in their respective departments.
18 field level staff were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding contribution and excellent performance in Kendupari activities.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forests, Odisha, Dr. K Murugesan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden Shri Prem Kumar Jha and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Kendupari) Smt. Uma Nanduri were present. In their speech, they asked the farmers to do their best in the upcoming crop to generate more revenue and increase the quality and quantitative production of paddy.
Senior officers of the Forest Department, along with all the forest division officers, assistant conservators of forests and range officers of the paddy branch were present at the Chintan camp.
