The Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi talked about the states financial help for farmers. The state is buying paddy from farmers at a price. ₹3,100 Per quintal. This helps 19 lakh farmers. The state is also giving ₹10,000 every year to over 51 lakh farmers.
The state is paying the insurance premiums for farmers. The state is also helping farmers children with their education through the Krishi Vidyanidhi Yojana.
From Local Fields to Global Markets
The state is working on making things better for farmers. Odisha is building cold storage units in all 58 sub-divisions. The state is giving subsidies to people who want to invest in farming. A big project is starting to grow coffee in districts like Koraput and Kalahandi. The goal is to make local coffee a known brand, around the world.
