The Best Camporee Award was presented to Balangir district on the occasion of the State Awards Ceremony 2025 held at the New Abhishek Hall in Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. The Honorable Governor of Odisha, Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati, presented the award on this occasion. The Honorable Minister of Public Education, Nityanand Gand and Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Odisha, Dr.
Kali Prasad Mishra were present. On this occasion, while receiving the prestigious Best Kempori Award from the Governor, Balangir District Education Officer and District Chip Commissioner, Pradeep Nag, Principal of Indira Girls High School, Nimayen Charan Mishra and DOC Scout Vinod Mohapatra received the award. Among others, DOC Guide Jayashree Podh, Guide Captain Brahmani Deep and Scout Master Shivashish Mohapatra, Basudev Yatri were prominently present.
It is worth noting that Indira Girls High School Bhainshah was the district champion and was selected as the best in the state. Behind this glorious success of the district is the tireless work and dedication of all the ADEOs, BEOs, Head Teachers and all the Scout Masters and Guide Captains of the district, including the District Editor of Balangir District Scouts and Guides, Pradeep Patra, said District Education Officer Shri Nag.
