In the Ambabhona block area of Bargarh district, due to heavy rains and excessive water release from the barrage in Chhattisgarh, hundreds of acres of farmland in various villages have been submerged due to the backwater of the Hirakud reservoir. In this situation, Bhatli MLA Erasis Acharya visited the flood-affected areas and reviewed the situation.
Farmers are worried as flood water is inundating villages like Beniapali, Chikhili, Antaradi, Ghughurapali, Kushmuda, Banjipali, Badamaal etc. During the inspection, MLA Ambabhona contacted Vidya Dr. Lalit Bagh and Tehsildar Raghunath Panigrahi and directed them to be vigilant and take necessary assistance and security measures for the flood-affected villages. He spoke to the villagers, listened to their problems and requested the administration to take immediate steps.
