On the occasion of the successful completion of two years of the Odisha Government’s Odisha Sar program, a district-level conference of the Aspiring District and Block program was held at the local Sanskruthi Bhawan in Besh Dhumdham. The district administrative officers and public representatives participated in the program and discussed in detail the development plan of Malkangiri.
Organized under the direct supervision of District Magistrate Pratesh Arvind Rajashirke, the conference was attended by Malkangiri MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Shri Narasingh Madkami as the chief guest, while Additional District Magistrate Administration Somnath Pradhan, Additional District Magistrate Revenue Vedavar Pradhan, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Dasharthi Sarabu and Chitrakonda MLA representative Govinda Patra, Deputy Director of Planning and Analysis Demarai Raut were present. On this occasion, the Honorable MLA said in his speech that the development of Malkangiri is not just a government program, but it is a resolution of all of us.
The trend of development is Odisha Sara Abhiyan, today a new chapter of progress has been created in every corner and block of our district. Due to the dedicated efforts of the government departments and the cooperation of the people, the aspirational district and block scheme has reached the people of the remotest part of Malkangiri today. The MLA has called upon everyone to work together to further accelerate this trend of development in the coming days. Leading the program, the Malkangiri District Magistrate, in his speech regarding the progress and success of the district, said that Malkangiri, which was once considered a remote area, has today emerged as a leading and model district in the development map of Odisha.
The empowerment of farmer brothers, financial independence of mothers and the success of tribal youth in the field of medical education of remote areas are the proof of real progress. The four gold medals won by the district in the Sampurta Abhiyan are the combined result of the continuous efforts of the administration and the unwavering cooperation of the people. In the coming days, the development of railways, airstrips and tourism will change the overall face of Malkangiri. The District Collector said that this effort will continue continuously to make Malkangiri one of the best, healthy and prosperous districts of Odisha. At the beginning of the program, the Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer welcomed all the guests and at the end of the program, he formally thanked them.
District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi staged and successfully managed the entire program. Another attraction of this festival was that special exhibition stalls were organized by various government departments at the local welfare mandap. Through these stalls, information was provided to the public about the welfare schemes, successes and progress of the Aspiring Block Program of various departments. The guests visited these stalls and highly appreciated these efforts of the administration. The officers and employees of various government departments involved in the development programmes and who played a key role in making the Aspiring District and Block Scheme a reality were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding contribution. A positive roadmap has been prepared in this conference for the progress of various social and economic welfare schemes.
