Children have to climb a special platform to study online. There is no signal from any mobile tower in Odisha, so Andhra Tower is a hope. Such a scene can be seen in Malkangiri district in Chitrakonda block Ralegada panchayat. There were BSNL and Jio towers here Even though they were functional, more than 3 thousand people are living a life without telecommunication. Starting from essential services to education and government schemes, they are suffering in every field.
Due to the lack of mobile network, it is not possible for the people of Ralegada panchayat to call an ambulance in times of emergency. Students are deprived of online lessons. Asha workers and anganwadi workers are facing problems in uploading the data of children and pregnant women in the nutrition scheme. In case of emergency, villagers go up the hill for the network and make phone calls by setting up temporary platforms on high places. But this is not always possible. Even in the digital age, such a situation has disrupted the daily lives of people. Regarding this problem, the Additional District Magistrate said that the tower will be connected soon. After this, it is expected that the New Work service will be normal in Ralegada panchayat.
On the other hand, in the Chitrakonda area, where Maoists were seen earlier, now the villagers are protesting to warn the government for the development of the network and the region. Such a picture can be seen under Chitrakonda block But now in Orgel, a suburban village near Kapachuti panchayat. A Jio tower was installed in this village four years ago to provide network services to 13 villages. Even now, it is not functional. As a result, people are depending on neighboring Andhra Pradesh to make phone calls. For various online work, people have to go to the block headquarters or the district headquarters.
