Malkangiri Town Adarsh Thana Police has achieved a great success. While smuggling more than five quintals of ganja from Malkangiri to Chhattisgarh, a vehicle carrying a chicken was stopped on suspicion and while searching, the police seized ganja worth more than one crore, Malkangiri Police Station Officer Regan Kindo informed.
The raid was led by SI Parvathi Goud, and the police arrested two accused Kamal Haasan and Bimal Kumar from Sonapur, Uttar Pradesh. Rohit Prajapati of Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, who were involved in this smuggling, filed a case in the name of Deepankar Haldar, Saurabh Mallick and Jagannath Vishwas of Malkangiri and prosecuted the two accused in court and the search operation is continuing.
