Berhampur: A cleanliness drive under the “Ama Ganjam Swachh Ganjam” initiative was organized today at Gopalpur Beach alongside an awareness campaign on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Berhampur Sub-Collector Abinash Kumar, Additional Sub-Collector Reena Kumari Nayak, Tahasildar Rakesh Kumar Parida, Deputy Collector Alekh Ranjan Mahankud, government officials, students, and members of the local community.

During the event, participants collected plastic waste, litter, and other garbage from the beach area, spreading the message of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The initiative highlighted the importance of maintaining clean public spaces and preserving the natural beauty of the coastline.
On the occasion, awareness was also created regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, with emphasis on the need for active public participation in ensuring a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
Addressing the gathering, Sub-Collector Abinash Kumar spoke about environmental conservation, sanitation, and the responsibilities of citizens during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision campaign being conducted across the district and the state.
He informed that the distribution of enumeration forms will continue until June 28, 2026, and urged all eligible citizens to contact their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and complete the required forms before the deadline.
