A seminar and workshop was organized by the District Small Savings Department on the occasion of the Financial Literacy and Awareness Program related to Small Savings Scheme at the Government SSD Higher Secondary School premises in K.C.Pur under Gumma Block of Gajapati District. The workshop was attended by District Financial Services and Savings Officer Triveni Kumari Devi, District Welfare Officer Solam Raika, Deputy Deputy Superintendent of Police Sarita Behuria, Postmaster of Gumma Sub-Post Office Shankar Patra, School Principal, Teachers, Students, Staff and Students.
The workshop created detailed awareness about various small savings schemes, government’s incentive savings scheme, importance of financial literacy, benefits of regular savings and investments. Along with this, the participants were informed about the precautions to be taken during digital financial transactions, ways to stay safe from cyber frauds and preventive measures. The seminar witnessed active interaction with students and other participants. Their various queries were answered and awareness was raised on small savings schemes, safe investments and cyber security.
